I. 들어가며

2016년 3월 UN 통계위원회 (UN Statistical Commission, 이하 UNSC)는 2030 지속가능개발 의제 (2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, 이하 2030 의제)의 달성을 위한 17대 목표 및 169개 세부목표를 실천할 시작점으로 글로벌 지표체계를 수립하는데 합의했다. 동시에 탄탄하고 양질의 지표체계를 구축하기 위해 지속가능개발목표를 위한 기관 간 및 전문가 그룹(Interagency and Expert Group for Sustainable Development Goals, 이하 IAEG-SDGs)의 활동이 지속적으로 이루어질 것임에도 합의했다.
