1. 추진배경

수원국에서 공여국으로 변모한 원조기관으로서 한국국제협력단은 개발도상국가와의 우호협력관 계 및 상호교류를 증진하고 이들 국가들의 경제사회 발전을 지원함으로써 국제개발협력을 증진하고 자 하는 경영목표 달성을 위한 통합시스템 구축 필 요성이 제기되고 있다.

동 통합시스템(KOMIS: KOICA Management InformationSystem) 원조업무의 시스템적인 관리를 통해 경영혁신을 지원하여‘국민과 함께하는 선진원조기관’의 위상을 확립하고자 한다. 이를 위해 개발원조사업의 효과적인 수행체계 구축을 위해 지식경영체계를 도입하고, 업무 프로세스의 표준화 기반 위에 업무구조의 고도화 및 지속적인 경영혁신체제 확립에 초점을 맞추고 있다.
