I. 서론

해외자원봉사활동은 국내의 봉사활동과 따로 존재하기가 어렵다. 한국에서의 자원봉사와 시민사회의 성숙이 이뤄질 때 해외자원봉사활동 수준도 높아질 것이기 때문이다. 해외자원봉사활동에 나가는 사람들이 한국에서 의미 있는 자원봉사 경험을 충분히 하여 그 가치를 알고, 실천이 몸에 배인 경우 해외의 어느 상황에서도 그 가치와 실천이 드러날 것이기 때문이다.
