Ⅰ. 들어가는 말

1. 연구범위와 목적

중동지역에서의 공적개발원조(Official Development Assistance, 이후 ODA)는 일부 중동 산유국들과 터키와 같은 신흥공업국들에 의해 이루어지고 있다. 즉 중동지역의 원조 공여국은 산유국인 사우디아라비아, 쿠웨이트, 아랍 에미리트(UAE)와 터키 정도로 할 수 있다. 하지만 중동지역의 이들 공여국들 역시 ODA 수여국 지위를 차지하고 있어 서구의 ODA공여국과는 다른 특징을 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 중동지역의 ODA는 남남협력(South-South Cooperation)의 일환으로 이루어지고 있다고 할 수 있다.
