I. 평가 개요

우즈베키스탄은 우리나라의 중점 협력대상 국가의 하나로, 1992년부터 지난해까지 총 2억 7,585만 달러의 무상원조가 제공된 국가이다. 21세기 들어 우즈베키스탄은 동구 및 CIS 지역 국가들 가운데 우리나라의 지원 순위 1위인 국가로 자리매김 하게 되었다. 금년에도 우즈베키스탄에 대한 원조 규모는 1,222만 달러 수준으로, 국가별 지원 순위에서 4위를 차지하였다. 최근 수년 사이에 우즈베키스탄에 대한 원조 규모가 급격히 증가하여, 2001년 이래 對우즈베키스탄 무상원조 규모는 무려 5배 이상 늘었다.
