I. MDGs 달성도 검토 필요성

저는 오늘 우리 정부가 UN천년개발목표(MDGs) 의 이행을 점검하고 향후 추진계획을 논의하기 위 하여 ODA국제컨퍼런스를 주최하게 된 것을 대단 히 기쁘게 생각합니다.

N천년개발목표(MDG)는 최근 국제사회의 주요 화두가 되고 있으며, 이를 달성하기 위한 다양한 대외원조 사업들이 시행되고 있습니다. 이러한 사 업들은 절대빈곤층의 감소, 초등교육의 확산, 5세 이하 유아 사망률 감소란 측면에서 괄목할 만한 성 과를 내고 있습니다.
