서론

1. 2.28(화) 부룬디 수도 Bujumbura에서 개최된 부룬디 원조회의(Conference des Partenaires du Burundi; Prgramme d’urgence de 2006) 에는 EU, IMF, World Bank, AfDB, WFP, AU, UNDP, UN/AIDS, UNICEF, ONUB, IMF 등 개발원조 관련 주요 국제기구 및 영국, 미국, 화란, 프랑스, 일본, 중국 등 주요 공여국 대표 60여명(총 참가자 250여명)이 참석하여 지난 수년간 계속되고 있는 부룬디 동·북부 지역 가뭄으로 인한 기근피해 구제를 위한 긴급 식량 원조 방안을 협의한바(별첨 communique final 참조), 3.2일자 당지 일간 The Guardian 지에 따르면 금번 회의를 계기로 현재까지 총 $170million 상당의 지원이 합의되었다고 함.
