1. 절대빈곤 및 기아퇴치

∙절대빈곤인구는 2000년 33%에서 2003년도 30.4%로 감소

∙필리핀의 빈곤은 전체 인구의 75%가 거주하는 농촌이 심각하며, 빈곤률은 농촌이 36.3%, 도시가 12.7%이며, 지역별 격차가 확대되고 있음

∙취학 이전 어린이의 체중미달이 2001년 30.6%에서 2003년 27.6%로 개선되었으나, MDGs 목표인 2015년까지 17.3% 달성을 위해서는 목표치 수정 필요

∙안전한 식수를 공급받는 가정이 2000년 78.5%에서 2003년 80%로 개선되었으며, 2015년까지 목표치인 87% 수준 도달 예정
